We know creators want simple, transparent deals with brands. Here’s a breakdown of how Station’s sponsorship program works, why we use this agreement, and answers to the most common questions.
When you apply to join the Station Sponsorship Program, our team reviews your application within 2–3 business days.
We look at your show’s audience, content, and brand fit.
If approved, you’ll get an email with next steps, including how to connect your Stripe account and access your Station dashboard.
If we need more info, we’ll reach out directly.
You won’t miss anything — we’ll keep you updated by email once your application has been reviewed.
You focus on creating. We do the heavy lifting — sourcing brands, negotiating deals, invoicing, and collecting payments.
Brands pay Station. To keep things clean and consistent, Station invoices the brand, collects payment, and manages the relationship.
You get paid. We take a 20% service fee for handling the deal. You get the remaining 80% within 15 days after Station receives payment from the brand.
Non-exclusive. You’re not locked in. You can keep working with other agencies, direct deals, or networks at any time.
Your approval matters. You always decide which sponsors you want (or don’t want) on your show.
Do I have to find my own sponsors?
Nope! That’s what Station is here for. We proactively bring you brands that fit your show and audience.
Can I reject a sponsor I don’t like?
Yes, 100%. You always have final approval over which sponsors you run.
How quickly do I get paid?
Once Station gets paid by the brand, we pay you your 80% within 15 days.
What happens if the brand doesn’t pay?
We chase the brand for payment. If the brand never pays, you won’t owe anything, but you also won’t be paid out on that campaign (since there’s no money to pass through).
Am I exclusive to Station?
No — this is a non-exclusive relationship. You can keep direct deals or other partnerships.
Why does Station keep 20%?
That covers our time and costs for sourcing sponsors, handling negotiations, invoicing, payment collection, compliance checks, and customer support.
What’s the 3-month non-solicitation clause?
If we introduce you to a brand, we ask that you don’t cut us out of that relationship for at least 3 months. This ensures we’re fairly compensated for making the introduction. After that, you’re free to work directly if you’d like.
Do I need to worry about FTC or ad compliance?
We’ll give you guidance, but ultimately it’s your responsibility to disclose sponsorships (like saying “This episode is sponsored by…” or using #ad). This protects you and your brand relationships.
What if something goes wrong?
Both sides have the right to walk away with 7 days’ notice. We’ll always work with you to wind down campaigns fairly if that happens.
To receive your sponsorship earnings, you’ll need to connect your Stripe account to Station.
Why Stripe?
Stripe is our secure payment partner. It lets us pay creators quickly and directly, no paper checks, no delays.
What you do:
When you join Station, you’ll see a prompt to connect your Stripe account.
If you already have a Stripe account, you just log in and approve the connection.
If you don’t have one, Stripe will guide you through a quick sign-up (takes about 5 minutes).
What happens next:
Station collects payment from brands.
We deduct our 20% service fee.
Your 80% share is sent to your connected Stripe account within 15 days of us receiving the brand’s payment.
Your control:
You can update your bank details anytime directly in Stripe.
You can see every payout in your Stripe dashboard and we will email you payment verification.
Why We Use an Agreement
Clarity: Everyone knows the rules upfront (payments, approvals, timelines).
Protection: It protects both you and Station from legal headaches.
Fairness: It keeps the process transparent so you know what you’re agreeing to.
Why does Station only pay me after the brand pays?
We act like an agency — we collect payment from brands on your behalf. To keep you safe, we only pay you from funds we’ve actually received. This avoids a situation where Station pays you out of pocket and then the brand never pays. We always chase brands for timely payment, and you’ll never be charged extra fees beyond the agreed 20%.
What’s the Morals Clause about?
Brands want to know their name won’t appear next to illegal or scandalous activity. The clause lets Station step away if something truly damaging happens. It’s not about policing your content style — you stay in control of what you create, and you can always approve or reject sponsors.
Why do I have to indemnify Station?
If a lawsuit happens (for example, a brand or regulator claims your ad wasn’t properly disclosed), they usually include everyone involved — you and Station. The indemnity just means you’ll cover legal costs tied to your own content or compliance. To balance things, Station also indemnifies you if we cause harm through breach or gross negligence.
What’s the Non-Solicitation rule?
This prevents “cutting out the middleman” right after an intro. If Station brings you a brand, we need to be part of that deal for at least the first campaign, and for 3 months after. After that, you’re free to work directly with the brand if you want. It protects Station’s work sourcing sponsors while keeping things flexible for you long-term.
Why arbitration and Tennessee?
Arbitration is faster and cheaper than court. It also avoids drawn-out lawsuits. Tennessee is our home base, but most arbitration can be handled virtually (phone or written submissions) — you won’t need to travel.
Can Station use my logo or show name?
Yes, but only to promote that we work with you (e.g., “Here are some of our partners”) or in case studies. We can’t imply you endorse a brand without your consent, and we can’t run ads in your name.
Can Station cancel a deal at any time?
Either side can end the agreement with 7 days’ notice. That said, if a campaign is already in progress, we’ll work with you to complete it fairly — we don’t pull the rug out mid-deal.
Bottom line: This agreement is designed to protect both you and Station. It makes sure you get paid quickly when brands pay, keeps sponsors comfortable, and sets clear rules without locking you down.
